74% of dogs and 63% of cats who are microchipped are reunited with their owners.
A microchip is a device that works via radio-frequency that carries a unique identification number for your pet. The purpose of microchips is to provide a form of permanent identification for your pet. It is approximately the size of a grain of rice. The procedure is relatively easy, quick and with minimal discomfort. Once your pet is microchipped, the microchip is registered under your name/information and entered into a database in the event that your pet becomes lost or found. ONLY veterinary staff have access to this database. If your pet becomes lost, the microchip is scanned by a veterinary hospital or shelter and transmits the ID number and then you're able to be contacted.
There's no battery and no power required.
This is not a GPS tracker for your pets.
Our microchip fee is $75 plus tax.
