Fecal testing is a great way to help ensure your pet is free of intestinal parasites. While deworming does reduce the chances, not all parasites are covered by these products.

In veterinary hospitals there are a lot of medications that help improve the quality and length of pet’s lives. 

April showers bring May flowers but the warmer weather also brings some creepy, icky, dangerous things as well – parasites. Heartworm, fleas and ticks to name just a few.

In my 17 year career in the Veterinary industry, I have taken a keen interest in oral health. I believe strongly in the prevention of dental disease. 

I currently own three cats, and spent many years fostering for shelters. It would not be uncommon for me to have my four cats and up to a dozen kittens running around my house.

I was 27 years old and just completing my second year in vet school when my elementary school opened a time capsule which had been sealed 20 years prior. 

 I adopted Nel from a household where another cat resided.  Her submissive, calm nature was her worst enemy.  She was preyed upon every day.
